Thinking of applying to Durham University Foundation Centre? Interesting in a foundation programme but unsure whether it’s right for you? Why not attend the Pre-application Open Day!
What are the Pre-application Open Days?
Our Pre-application Open Days provide an invaluable opportunity for prospective undergraduates to learn more about Durham University, the excellent standard of our teaching, our unique collegiate system and the quality of our facilities. It is a chance to meet staff from our departments, our colleges and a number of our students who can share their experiences.
An Introduction to the colleges
We believe our unique collegiate system makes a real difference to the university experience at Durham. Talks and tours of colleges will run throughout the day and these sessions provide an introduction to the Colleges at Queen’s Campus and provide an overview of how each creates a smaller community within which it can support students. Most first year students ‘live in’ their college and are active members of their college community; be it in sport, social or academic pursuits. Tours delivered by our current students and staff provide a real insight into college life and will run as part of the introduction to colleges talk. Tours will allow you to fully appreciate how each college delivers the additional support that creates a unique student experience.
Do I need to book?
